Son utilisation est tr\u00e8s r\u00e9pandue dans l\u2019agriculture et c\u2019est \u00e9galement un composant important dans la production de formules \u00e9quilibr\u00e9es de fertilisation.<br \/>\n         <strong>Largement appliqu\u00e9 au sol directement comme produit unique,<br \/>\n        <\/strong>c\u2019est une excellente source de fertilisation<br \/>\n         <strong>dans les cultures qui extraient de grandes quantit\u00e9s de soufre du sol<br \/>\n         <\/strong>comme les cultures fourrag\u00e8res, les l\u00e9gumes (crucif\u00e8res, oignons et ail), les c\u00e9r\u00e9ales (bl\u00e9 et orge) et les gramin\u00e9es (ma\u00efs, sorgho et canne \u00e0 sucre), entre autres.\n        <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ce produit contient principalement de l\u2019ammonium (NH<br \/>\n        <sub>4<\/sub><sup>+<\/sup>) et du sulfate (SO) et,<br \/>\n        <sub>4-2<\/sub>), <strong>avec son pH acide, son application est recommand\u00e9e sur les sols calcaires et alcalins compte tenu de son puissant effet acidifiant.<br \/>\n        <\/strong> Son utilit\u00e9 comme engrais tient au fait que le besoin en soufre est fortement li\u00e9 \u00e0 la quantit\u00e9 d&#8217;azote disponible pour la plante, de sorte que le sulfate d&#8217;ammonium fournit un apport \u00e9quilibr\u00e9 des deux nutriments.\n        <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En agriculture conventionnelle, on continue encore \u00e0 l\u2019utiliser massivement, notamment dans les <strong>cultures moins rentables et comme source importante d\u2019azote<\/strong> accompagn\u00e9e de soufre, un pr\u00e9curseur dans son assimilation.<br \/>\n         Il <strong>ne s\u2019agit donc pas d\u2019un engrais \u00e9cologique,<\/strong> puisque son proc\u00e9d\u00e9 est obtenu par des transformations de synth\u00e8se et n\u2019est donc pas repris dans la r\u00e9glementation europ\u00e9enne en mati\u00e8re d\u2019agriculture biologique.\n        <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sur le terrain, ce produit est connu comme un <strong>bon engrais utilis\u00e9 aussi bien en cultures extensives qu\u2019en cultures intensives, avec une double action<\/strong>, puisqu\u2019il apporte deux macronutriments, en plus de sa teneur en soufre qui favorise les conditions physiques et chimiques des sols des cultures.\n        <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Optimisant la dose et l&#8217;application dans les cultures au sol, le <strong>sulfate d&#8217;ammonium<\/strong> est une tr\u00e8s <strong>bonne source de cet \u00e9l\u00e9ment et est facile \u00e0 m\u00e9langer et \u00e0 utiliser<\/strong>.<br \/>\n         Cette forme d&#8217;ammonium est normalement assimil\u00e9e rapidement par les cultures. Lorsqu\u2019elle est utilis\u00e9e en grandes quantit\u00e9s, elle peut toutefois devenir phytotoxique pour la plante.<br \/>\n         En effet, en hydroponie, son utilisation est limit\u00e9e \u00e0 un maximum de 15-20&nbsp;% de la fraction totale d&#8217;azote, les 80-85&nbsp;% restants \u00e9tant constitu\u00e9s par de l&#8217;azote nitrique.\n        <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Le soufre inorganique du sol est absorb\u00e9 par les plantes principalement sous forme d&#8217;anion sulfate et, en raison de sa charge n\u00e9gative, il n&#8217;est pas attir\u00e9 par les argiles du sol et les collo\u00efdes inorganiques.<br \/>\n         <strong>Le soufre reste dans la solution du sol, se d\u00e9pla\u00e7ant avec le flux d&#8217;eau et est donc facilement lixiviable<br \/>\n        <\/strong>. Dans certains sols, cette lixiviation accumule du soufre dans le sous-sol, qui peut \u00eatre exploit\u00e9e par les cultures \u00e0 racines profondes.<br \/>\n         Le risque de lixiviation est plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 dans les sols sableux que dans les sols \u00e0 texture franche ou argileuse.\n        <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Les sols \u00e0 faible teneur en mati\u00e8re organique (&lt;2&nbsp;%) pr\u00e9sentent g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement des carences en soufre, \u00e9tant donn\u00e9 que chaque unit\u00e9 de pourcentage de mati\u00e8re organique <strong>en lib\u00e8re environ 6&nbsp;kg par ha et par an.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">L&#8217;azote et le soufre ont une relation tr\u00e8s \u00e9troite dans le r\u00f4le nutritionnel des plantes.<br \/>\n         En effet, <strong>ces deux nutriments constituent les 5 prot\u00e9ines (acides amin\u00e9s) et sont associ\u00e9s \u00e0 la formation de la chlorophylle<\/strong> (intervenant dans le processus de photosynth\u00e8se).\n        <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>PROCESSUS D&#8217;OBTENTION<br \/>\n        <\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">L&#8217;obtention du sulfate d&#8217;ammonium comme produit industriel est la <strong>transformation de l&#8217;ammoniaque gazeux (NH<sub>3<\/sub>), m\u00e9lang\u00e9 \u00e0 de l&#8217;eau de vapeur pour cr\u00e9er une saturation et l&#8217;incorporation d&#8217;acide sulfurique.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cette r\u00e9action r\u00e9alis\u00e9e de mani\u00e8re contr\u00f4l\u00e9e se transforme en un m\u00e9lange de soufre (SO<sub>4<\/sub>) et d&#8217;ammonium (NH<sub>4<\/sub>) qui, attaqu\u00e9 avec un acide, incorpore dans la formule un hydrog\u00e8ne suppl\u00e9mentaire (H).\n        <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>PROPRI\u00c9T\u00c9S CHIMIQUES<br \/>\n        <\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tout l\u2019azote de cet engrais se pr\u00e9sente sous <strong>forme ammoniacale<\/strong>.<br \/>\n         Bien qu&#8217;il soit hautement assimilable par la plante, il est pr\u00e9f\u00e9rable qu&#8217;il soit absorb\u00e9 sous forme nitrique.\n        <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Son comportement au sol est bon, sachant que, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 sa charge positive, il reste fix\u00e9 dans le complexe argilo-humique et ne se lixivie pas autant \u00e0 des champs profonds (comme le fait la forme nitrique).\n        <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La pr\u00e9sence de <strong>micro-organismes nitrifiants<\/strong> (nitrobacter, nitrosomones, entre autres) facilite sa transformation en nitrique.<br \/>\n         Compte tenu de sa <strong>r\u00e9action acide<\/strong>, il est utilis\u00e9 pour acidifier les sols pr\u00e9sentant un pH alcalin et une forte pr\u00e9sence de calcaires et de magn\u00e9siens non solubles.<br \/>\n         En outre, le soufre incorpor\u00e9 dans l&#8217;engrais am\u00e9liore la disponibilit\u00e9 de l&#8217;azote et agit de mani\u00e8re synergique dans son assimilation.\n        <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>TYPES DE SULFATE D&#8217;AMMONIUM<br \/>\n        <\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong style=\"color: #537caf;\">Sulfate d&#8217;ammonium en poudre&nbsp;: <\/strong>il se pr\u00e9sente sous forme solide, mais en poudre, facilement soluble.<br \/>\n         Son application est tr\u00e8s fr\u00e9quente et il convient \u00e0 la pr\u00e9paration de solutions liquides en fertirrigation.<br \/>\n         Fortement soluble, cet engrais <strong>doit toujours \u00eatre appliqu\u00e9 en couverture<\/strong>, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire lorsque les cultures ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 plant\u00e9es.\n        <\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong style=\"color: #537caf;\">Sulfate d&#8217;ammonium liquide&nbsp;:<\/strong> sa solubilit\u00e9 est \u00e9lev\u00e9e, mais inf\u00e9rieure \u00e0 celle d&#8217;autres engrais comme le nitrate d&#8217;ammonium.<br \/>\n         Dans certains cas, l&#8217;agriculteur pr\u00e9f\u00e8re travailler avec des formules liquides d\u00e9j\u00e0 solubilis\u00e9es de sulfate d&#8217;ammonium.<br \/>\n         Une formule concentr\u00e9e consisterait \u00e0 diluer jusqu\u2019\u00e0 40&nbsp;% de l\u2019engrais pour atteindre une concentration d\u2019azote de 8,4&nbsp;% p\/p et une concentration de soufre (SO<sub>3<\/sub>) de 24&nbsp;% p\/p\n        <\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong style=\"color: #537caf;\">Sulfate d&#8217;ammonium granul\u00e9&nbsp;:<\/strong> sa caract\u00e9ristique principale est sa solubilit\u00e9 lente et son utilisation dans le pr\u00e9-semis ou dans les cultures arboricoles.<br \/>\n         Lorsque l&#8217;eau ne peut pas \u00eatre incorpor\u00e9e par fertirrigation (p\u00e9riodes de pluie ou de saturation d\u2019eau).<br \/>\n         Sa teneur est identique \u00e0 celle de toute autre formule et son utilisation est assez g\u00e9n\u00e9ralis\u00e9e dans des cultures telles que les amandiers, les oliviers ou les arbres fruitiers, en particulier pendant la p\u00e9riode de germination et de d\u00e9veloppement des nouvelles feuilles.\n        <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>AVANTAGES POUR LES CULTURES<br \/>\n        <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Ce produit repr\u00e9sente une <strong>source \u00e9conomique de
