Maize is a delicate crop that requires special care<\/strong> to get a good harvest.
\n The proper application of fertilisers,

\n <\/strong> due to the lack of nutrients and the increase in salt concentration with potentially disastrous consequences for production.<\/p>\n

\n They provide the crop with the necessary nutrients for the production of large and healthy cobs.
\n If an appropriate fertilizer programme is not applied, there may be a deficit or surplus of certain nutrients, which can reduce the yield<\/strong>, cob quality or even affect the viability of the stalk.
\n In general, fertilizers provide nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, sulphur and calcium<\/strong>.

It is well proven that nitrogen helps to increase the size and weight of the cobs and contributes to improve the quality<\/strong> of maize varieties.
\n This is because the nitrogen in fertilizers helps increase the content of nutritional elements<\/strong> in the plant.
\n On the other hand, phosphorus is needed for the production of cobs with sweet kernels,<\/strong> it improves the crops\u2019 resistance to climatic and bacterial stresses and is the main factor in strong rooting.
\n Finally, potassium improves resistance to pests and diseases<\/strong>, improves the quality and flavour of the cob and, at the same time, helps increase production.<\/p>\n
